Terms of Use

Last updated: 21 September 2026

These terms say what Should I Stay Here? is, what you can expect from it and what it expects from you. Short on purpose: one rule per section.

What the service is

Should I Stay Here? gives a score, from zero to ten, to the area around a stay, from an Airbnb or Booking link, using public maps and data from the listing page itself. It is information to help you decide, not a guarantee.

The score does not rate the room, the host, the price, the cleanliness or anyone's safety. Where the data is thin it can be wrong, and the coverage seal says when that is the case. The service is free.

Who can use it

Anyone aged eighteen or over, for personal use. Creating an account requires accepting these Terms and the Privacy Policy; without that, no account is created.

Acceptable use

Do not use bots, scripts or scraping to extract analyses in bulk, and do not try to work around the service's limits. Do not use the service to harass, discriminate against or surveil people.

We may limit or block access that threatens the service or its use by others.

Where the data comes from

Maps and places come from OpenStreetMap, under the ODbL licence. Listing positions come from the listing page or from Inside Airbnb, under the CC BY 4.0 licence. Photos come from Wikimedia Commons and Unsplash, credited alongside. Stays and prices come from Booking, through partners.

Each source has its own licence and may contain errors we do not control. We keep the position of the listings we analyse so the same page is never read twice.

Commission

Links to Booking and to GetYourGuide tours are affiliate links: if you book through them, we may receive a commission. The price is the same for you, and the order of suggestions is not for sale.

Account and content

You can delete your account at any time, on the account page; its lenses and data go with it. An analysis you shared stays public at the address you received until you ask for its removal at privacy@shouldistayhere.com.

Limits of liability

The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of availability or accuracy. Travel decisions are yours. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from the use of the score or from the service being unavailable.

Changes, law and contact

We may change these Terms; the date at the top says when. Material changes are announced on this page. The law of the country where the service is operated applies, without prejudice to protections the law of your country grants you.

Questions and requests: contact@shouldistayhere.com. The founder answers.
